Mojito Mexicano – Tequila Cocktail

With all of the heat and humidity this week, I decided to concoct a light cocktail that would quench my thirst. With the help of fresh mint from the garden, the Mojito Mexicano was born. Not only is it a refreshing, fun tequila cocktail, but also it is also less than 100 calories! With only four ingredients, the Mojito Mexicano is the perfect tequila cocktail for any summer diet!

Patrón Silver is the key ingredient in this cocktail. With a less potent bite than many other types of tequila, patron silver is the perfect liquor for a summer mojito. For a sweeter drink, try the Patrón Anejo that has more of a whiskey-like quality.

The second ingredient is Izze Sparkling Clementine! This mixer is perfect and low calorie for everyone trying to work on their bikini bodies this summer! Izze Sparkling Clementine hits the spot in this tequila cocktail with its refreshing bubbles.

Mint is the ingredient that ties our whole tequila cocktail together! Perfect for a light drink, mint crisps this cocktail with all of the right flavors.

To mix this drink, add the mint leaves and ice at the same time so you almost layer the mint leaves throughout the drink. Add the Patrón Silver, and then top off with Izze Sparkling Clementine! Be sure to stir your drink, stirring will cause the mint to be crushed by the ice which will release it’s minty flavor to create your tequila cocktail! Don’t forget to add a lime to garnish your drink!

The ingredients that I used are pictured below! Feel free to comment or contact me with any additional questions, concerns, or suggestions. Remember to mix & chill over ice! Enjoy!
